a day at eataly in new york
oh how excited i was when we booked our tickets to new york and i knew i'd finally be able to go to EATALY. eataly is the world's largest italian marketplace. they have locations in japan, korea, italy, brazil and 5 in the USA. there are all kinds of unique italian canned goods and groceries (in adorable packaging!), walls of the best looking olive oil i've ever seen, fresh seafood, pasta, produce, CHEESE, cooking classes (which i really want to do!), a bakery as well as restaurants and bars (one is on the rooftop). are you starting to understand my excitement?
eataly is right in front of the flatiron building so we took a few photos and made our way in around midday. it was already full of people, because of this it was really hard to take as many photos which i am a little sad about but i'll go a little earlier next time. as we walked around i was like a kid in a candy shop.. so excited and a little a.d.d. we walked a quick lap to get our bearings then sat down for something to eat. we had the most mouth watering prosciutto, bread and olive oil and talked about our love of food and life and our new chapter in new york. we then had cacio pepe and ragu. we were feeling pretty good by this point.
after lunch and a little buzz from our peronis we walked one more lap, and grabbed some groceries. pasta, sauces, cheese, focaccia as well as some jars and cans of cute little things i've never seen before. eataly is an awesome experience. i can't wait to go back! xx
