electrolyte and adrenal support elixir
this is a recipe i learnt from my mother who learnt it from a doctor/naturopath that has really helped shape the way that i look at taking care of my mind and body. it is a drink i like to make during periods of high stress which affects the adrenals. this can lead to all sorts of health issues like weight gain, chronic fatigue, food cravings and a weakened immune system. i also drink this after big workouts or hot yoga and during the humid queensland summers to replenish electrolytes immediately.
it is made with sole water (pink himalayan salt water) which i have done a whole post about here. this elixir gives me instant energy, helps flush the body of extra fluid, aids digestion and gives me glowing skin just to name a few benefits. it's also super refreshing.
INGREDIENTS (for a 1 litre glass bottle)
- 1 tsp of sole water
- 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar
- juice of a whole organic lemon
- 1 cup of cold pressed 100% apple juice
- 1 tsp of good quality vitamin c powder
- purified water to fill the rest of the bottle
combine all ingredients in a 1 litre glass bottle and sip throughout the day.
