lunch at king, new york city
last weekend we had a delicious and inspiring lunch at king restaurant.
king is an all female owned and run french provincial and regional italian restaurant in soho with a daily changing menu. it's a beautiful yet simple space.. white walls, table cloths and big windows. as we sat at the bar and waited for our table, i admired the fresh flowers, cute menu, textured ceilings and mud australia salt and pepper ramekins on each table.
as we were seated at our table, i was excited at the fact it was an open kitchen and i could see the women of king cooking and creating incredible dishes for their guests... it was hard to narrow it down on what to order from the daily menu offering. but we got there.
i thought i'd share some of the photos i took <3 pictured below...
- carta di musica with anchovy butter and wild oregano
- insalata di stagione with florence fennel, peas, wild rocket and ricotta salata
- chicken paillard roasted in pieropan soave with baked borlotti, baby artichokes and marjoram
- onglet chargrilled other thyme branches with lentils, baby gems and a mustard vinagrette
- la tarte tropézienne
- flourless chocolate cake
